About Me

About Me

My children were leaving the nest when I began studying art which was also the time I became part of a bird banding team.

The whole world was out there waiting to be interpreted on paper!

The joy of being an artist is not only about what one produces, but also the friends made in the classroom, workshops, organizations and travel in search of artistic growth.

An annual ten day art retreat in the Hill Country with friends sharing, critiquing with much laughter for the past twenty-five years has been so important to what I have become as an artist.

The friends who come to work in my studio are essential.

I have been fortunate to have wonderful patrons and to have my works displayed in many shows over the years in art shows throughout Texas.

“There’s Gold in the Wetlands” is a book I wrote and illustrated to celebrate wetland birds. Prairies are celebrated with my watercolor work in “Translating the Prairie” published by the city of Plano.
